The Fire Eagle Auto Updater (currently Windows only, OSX and Linux coming soon) runs transparently in the background updating your current location using Skyhooks SDK. This essentially brings location based services to the laptop market, which is by far greater than number of phones cabable of using this service. I hope to see some neat programs built off this concept!! The program will be in Public Beta soon.
